How to use the "Tracking Analytics" functionality?

Enrich your audience measurement and website performance tools with data collected by your surveys.

As part of a website deployment, the survey is part of the customer journey. To have a complete view of your customer journeys on your website, it's important to centralise the data linked to the surveys within your analytics tools!

The "Tracking Analytics" feature allows you to enrich your analytical tools (such as Content Square, AT Internet, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics...) or your tag management system (Google Tag Manager, Tag Commander, Tealium..) in real time with two types of data from your surveys:

  • Contextual data: the pages of surveys seen and/or submitted by a user during the website visit.
  • Declarative data: the answers collected by the surveys during the website visit.

For example, you can enrich your analytics tools with a customer satisfaction score in order to identify the least performing steps of a visitor’s journey and correct the frictions.

1. Prerequisite:

We advise you to bring someone from your Web Analytics team onto the project to validate your strategy regarding third-party application enrichment.

To set up this feature, your campaign must have a "Website" deployment on the Skeepers platform.

2. Configure your actions:

In the "Actions" tab of your campaign, create a scenario that corresponds to your needs and add a new "Tracking Analytics" action.

Not sure you have a good understanding of "actions" in Skeepers? Read our detailed article here!

When you click on "Tracking Analytics", you will have the option to track three types of events depending on the time of execution of the action or the targeted application: "Page display", "Page submission", "Question submission ".

Page display:

  • Goal: Enrich your analytical tools with contextual data such as "a survey page was displayed".
  • Availability: "When" = "the page loading"

For example, you can send to Google Analytics the information about the number of times your Skeepers abandon shopping cart popin was triggered on your website.

Page submission

  • Goal: Enrich your analytical tools with contextual data such as "a survey page has been submitted".
  • Availability: "When" = "Page submission"

For example, you can send Google Analytics the information about the number of people who completed the survey.

Question submission

  • Goal: Enrich your analytical tools with the value of the answers collected (declarative data).
  • Availability: "When" = "Page submission"

For example, you can send a satisfaction score to Google Analytics after a visit in order to analyse the customer journey of dissatisfied visitors.

Depending on the chosen audience measurement tool, complete the relevant fields and record your action.
