A quiz is a survey that allows you to collect a lot of data in a fun way. Whether it is to feed your personas, identify new trends or simply retrieve a birthday, the quiz arouses the curiosity of your respondents!

In marketing, the quiz is an effective technique for collecting leads because it creates engagement among prospects.

Creating a survey in the form of a quiz

After creating a new campaign (learn how to create a new campaign).

Add 2 pages (learn how to add pages):

  • The first one containing the questions.
  • The second will be used to display the results obtained by the respondents.

In the Questions page, create a first item of type Checkbox by adding an item (learn to add a multiple choice item).

Note: you can use another item (a Multiple choice list, an Image choice list, etc.).

Then choose Checkbox list.

Then configure the item:

For each of your answers, click on the gear to open the Settings side menu.

As part of a quiz, it is necessary to add a category or weight for each answer modality (learn how to add a weight or category).

The weight is used to calculate a score. The category identifies a respondent profile. For our example, we choose to use only categories.

Note: if you have followed the Skeepers Academy online program, you have answered a quiz-type survey, with a weighting to obtain your results and validate or not each module.

We choose here that the answer "4" matches to the Category "You're a Content King".

Then add your other questions on the same template. Feel free to vary the type of multiple-choice question (a Multiple choice list, an Image choice list, etc) to make the survey more dynamic and make your respondent want to complete the quiz.

Note: categories can be personas, types of business profiles, colours, any item that allows you to distinguish your types of respondents.

Finally, add a Button item (learn how to add a button item), by clicking on Add item, then on Button.

This button is used to redirect the respondent to the second page.

Name your Button and configure it to trigger an Action. For our example, we selected "Submit and go to page".

Thus, when your respondent clicks on your button, he will validate the quiz and will be automatically redirected to your "Answers" page.

Don't forget to "Hide the submission button" (to hide the default button and avoid having 2 buttons).

Remember to register.

Finally, open the "Answers" page and add a "Rich Content" item (learn more about rich content).
This will allow you to display the sum of the weights or the category to which the respondent belongs.

Select Rich Content:

Configure the Rich content by writing your text.

To display your result, you must add a variable by clicking on "Insert variable". (learn to use variables)

Here, we have chosen to display "Most represented answer category" (if you use weights, insert a weight-related variable).

The variable appears. It is updated according to the category to which the respondent matches.

Note: you can enhance your rich content with images, videos...

Save now your survey, your quiz is ready.

The next step will be to create your Diffusion (learn how to create a deployment).

With this very simple type of quiz, you are able to explore your audience in a fun way and deepen your knowledge of your contacts.

Example

Here is an overview of a quiz aimed at collecting new leads, while combining valuable business information, to undertake sales and marketing actions in order to win new customers.

It is presented as a personality quiz, during which the respondent will enter key information that will bring him/her into a predefined category (learn more about the categories).

Multiple choice questions allow the survey to get to know the respondent better (learn more about multiple choice questions).

To make the answers to your quiz more fun, Images choice list allows you to vary the format in which the questions are displayed (learn more about Image choice list).

After answering all the questions, the respondent arrives on the last page. At this point, associating the respondent to a category allows to display his profile type within a rich content (learn more about rich content).
The following are displayed to the respondent:

  • its profile/personality type (based on its answers),
  • links to share the quiz on your social networks
  • the link to a resource corresponding to the use of most interest

Post-feedback actions then allow the marketing and sales departments to continue the conquest process, with the help of crucial information collected through the quiz conducted with Skeepers (learn more about post-feedback actions).
